  2. Activity- Created a 3 circle Venn Diagram on theories of motivation- incentive, cognitive, and drive-reduction using the 12 statements I provided.
  3. Discussed the venn diagrams.

  3. Pictionary- created a drawing of one of the words from the storyline activity

  2. Activity- Modeling. List 10 behaviors/activities/skills, for each identify if it was learned through modeling, and if so, who was the model. Discussed lists and modeling.
  3. Activity- Learning the Alphabet Backwards. 10 separate trials, 30 seconds each, write the alphabet backwards, covering up each previous attempt. Made a bar graph of individual results. Discussed how repetition and practice can help you learn a skill quickly.
  4. Worked on C level tasks and did oral defenses

  3. Activity- Source vs. Surface trait. Made a list of traits and categorized them.
  4. Discussed using physical appearance as a judge of personality.
  5. Activity- Extravert vs Introvert. Looked at characteristics of each, discussed situations in which you could be both, do we each have some of both as part of our personality.
  6. Worked on B level task- due on Wednesday.

A level now due on Friday, unit test on Friday.

Welcome to Psychology!

Each day of class I will post information about what we did that day and whenever possible links to the work.

  1. Syllabus- went over it and will handout copies on Monday.
  2. For the rest of the period we did several get to know each other activities and took some "what do you know" type quizes, nothing that needs to be made up.
  3. Task- Before leaving class everyone answered two questions- why are you taking this class and what do you hope to learn- and turned them in.
